Summary of the Position:

Lead design of strategic product areas across the Rising Team system, while evolving our visual language and design system.

In this role, you’ll work with a cross-functional team leading the end-to-end design process, from ideation through to delivery, solving a wide range of deeply interesting design challenges. You will create innovative, transformative team experiences. Your work will directly enable teams to learn, grow, and build connection and trust with each other.

What you’ll do:

  • Design strategic product areas and functionality across the Rising Team platform, solving a wide range of deeply interesting design challenges, balancing quality with speed.
  • Collect requirements, respond to feedback, iterate and build on other’s ideas, and manage expectations and deadlines.
  • Write clear, friendly, succinct in-product copy that aligns with our brand.
  • Design for multiple viewports and work through nitty interaction details, for example the various states of a control or button.
  • Build out our Figma design system anticipating potential use cases and evolutions as the product continues to grow.
  • Participate in our user testing program, observe test sessions, and create design solutions that meet user needs
  • Live our values, embody our mission, participate in regular Rising Team and other team development experiences, and help shape the future of Rising Team.

What you’ll need:

  • A strong portfolio of design work that demonstrates product thinking, interaction design, and visual design
  • Genuine curiosity and interest for human development, how people grow, learn, transformation, team development.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to write clear, friendly, succinct copy that aligns with our brand.
  • Collaborative approach and belief that the best products are built through a partnership across functional teams.
  • Outcomes-focus with a sense of urgency around meeting goals and deadlines
  • Scrappiness & strong problem-solving within existing constraints.
